Our Journey

Bellissimo has come a long way since we first started roasting coffee.

In the beginning, we were three mates having fun with a few pallets of beans and a little roaster bought on a whim. We didn’t know much about specialty coffee or just how extraordinary coffee could be.

No one was more surprised than us when our original blend, Emporio, won the Espresso Champion Trophy at the Sydney Royal Fine Food Awards with our very first entry.

We've learnt a heck of a lot since then, and every day we continue to be amazed by the complex and fascinating world of coffee.

Today, that same passion for quality, craftsmanship and hospitality has inspired us to expand beyond the cup. We are thrilled to introduce Bellissimo Catering, an exciting collaboration with Joedy Kyle, founder of the much-loved Joedy's Café and creator of Bellissimo Catering.

Bringing together Bellissimo's commitment to exceptional coffee and hospitality with Joedy's extensive experience in premium corporate and event catering, this partnership allows us to deliver a fresh and elevated catering experience to Brisbane businesses, events and celebrations.

With years of experience creating memorable catering for corporate meetings, conferences, private events and special occasions, Joedy has built a reputation for quality, creativity and outstanding service. Together, we're committed to offering beautifully presented, chef-crafted catering backed by the reliability, warmth and attention to detail that both brands are known for.

We are humble custodians of great coffee and have incredible respect and appreciation for the hard work of coffee farmers around the world. Our mission is simply to do our best—whether roasting, serving, training or catering—to honour the quality of the products and people behind everything we offer.

While we continue to deepen our knowledge and refine our craft, our philosophy remains simple: source smarter, roast better, reduce our environmental impact, care for our community and share our passion with those we serve.

The launch of Bellissimo Catering is a natural extension of this philosophy. By combining award-winning coffee with thoughtfully crafted catering, we aim to create memorable experiences that bring people together—whether in the office, at a boardroom meeting, a special event or a celebration.

From breakfast meetings and office lunches to large-scale corporate functions and private events, our catering range has been designed to make every occasion effortless, delicious and memorable.

It is this devotion to quality, coupled with the support of our customers, that has helped us grow from a small Brisbane roastery into one of Australia's most awarded coffee roasters.
